A$AP Mob – Yamborghini High -The ASAP Crew have released the trippy visuals for their tribute to the late A$AP Yams. The video is the perfect tribute to the founder of A$AP Mob with its purple skies, digital distortion transitions, and multicolored background scenes – even the wardrobes were on par with the scenes of psychedelia. The song opens with a shot of Yams’ mother sitting on a throne in a golden room and as soon as she turns on the tribal patterned television the trip starts. Pink, purple, and pastel blue bathrobes are draped across each rapper and they flaunt bottles of Hennessy while racing Lamborghinis; every movement produces a new color shift and watching the flowing backdrop gives you the feeling you’ve just taken a hit. Towards the end of the shoot, we are presented with the team in full fatigue, ready for war, followed by an absolutely whimsical representation of Yams on a white horse in an open field – like he rode in from heaven to drop a cameo. Artistic appeal, sublime visuals, luxurious lyrics, and street grittiness make this tribute a nice example of A$AP Mob’s continuing motivational impact on the game. Check it out.
